This two disc set features a mix of action footage (including rare archive newsreel), stills and talking heads to tell the story of English rugby from the day William Webb Ellis first picked up a rugby ball(and possibly earlier).

With Lawrence Dallaglio introducing the programme and TV presenter Mark Durden-Smith narrating, the programme of nearly three and a half hours covers nearly all the key moments in English rugby history from Wavell Wakefield to Martin Johnson and from the nineteenth century through to 2003 and the triumphant Woodward years.

Many classic tries are featured and the action shown includes some memorable Barbarians and Lions games where England players were to the fore.
